‘Paseo do colesterol’
This path goes from the water-treatment plan in Agro do Rolo to the end of the village towards Melide. It passes by the River Roxán, through a set up zone which includes several benches and picnic areas. This route is thought to be a walking place, but also a meeting point.
Careón mountain range
It is a protected natural space, denominated Community Importance Place into the European Natura 2000 network. It has 6,662 Ha, an average height of 550 meters and a maximum height of 800 meters. It embraces three Galician provinces: the municipalities of Agolada in Pontevedra, Friol and Palas de Rei in Lugo and, Santiso, Melide and Toques in A Coruña.
This mountain range has a great botanic importance, as well as a wide variety of animals.
